The aim of the game is to obtain a total 'card count' higher than the dealer without going over 21.
All players place their stake in the betting box before them on the table. You can
bet as many chips as you want for each hand. The dealer will then deal 2 cards to
each player face up. The dealer also deals 2 cards to herself but the second card
will be face down. You now have 4 choices:-
1. You can 'stand' if you are happy with your count.
2. You can 'draw' another card and continue to draw until you are satisfied with your count but if you go over 21 YOU LOSE BABY!
3. You can 'double down' ie double your bet if your first 2 cards total 9,10 or 11 but you will only receive 1 more card.
4. If you have 2 cards of the same value you can 'split' your cards and 'draw' on each hand until you are happy with your count. You must place a stake equal to your original bet on the second card.
After everyone has played their hand the dealer will then play their hand and must continue to draw cards until reaching at least 17. Once the dealer has hit between 17 & 21 he must stand and will pay out any player with a higher total.
Equal totals are a 'push' and the player retains their stake.
All winning bets are paid at even money except Blackjack (Ace & 10) which is paid at odds of 3 to 2.
All cards are worth their face value, picture cards are worth 10 and aces 1 or 11.
